As the ‘net’ history unraveled, The Net Holding managed to firmly direct the companies and guide them as they made their significant turns. It is the base, the source, and the reference of our subsidiaries’ decision- making.
Our net journey towards a thriving business has begun on June 1st 1994, amidst a very competitive and tough market.
Skynet sal representing Skynet Worldwide Express - the world's largest independently owned express network - initiated its business with only 3 employees in a 40 sqm space office. This elementary step was the outset of the long success story of Net Holding's group of companies.
In 1996, Skynet sal started covering airfreight services and became an IATA approved agent, and continued to expand the range of its services in 1998, by introducing the domestic and logistics services from warehousing to national B2B e-Commerce & logistics distribution.
In an effort to comply with all its customers' demands, Net Logistics sal emerged in Beirut in 2001, to represent EGL - the renowned US freight forwarder - which was later on acquired by CEVA the fourth largest logistics company worldwide - and expanded to Syria in 2003, representing CEVA and Skynet Worldwide Express.
Dubai, Iraq and Jordan were the next target in the path of our long journey.
In 2002, the company reached out to these markets, and confidently launched its activities there, leading to the establishment of Net Logistics off-shore.
And the successful net journey was relentlessly carried on, as intervals between major accomplishments were shortened, which added more value to the business.
The establishment of a sales office was set up in Dubai Airport Free Zone in 2006.
As for the year 2007, it witnessed both the initiation of operations in Jordan and the Net Logistics inauguration of the new Port of Beirut's Free Zone facility.
The Net Holding further expanded its horizons in 2008, by becoming the agent of TNT in Lebanon, the world-leading provider of express delivery services.
... And so our net journey is still in the process of moving forward...
